It was so great to get an email out of the blue from Jenni awhile back, asking if I could take some photos of her growing family. We went to the same high school (only a year apart) and have the same home church in common, but this was the first I’d really gotten to hang out with Jenni and her hubby, Grant, and boys, Lane and Corbin. SO glad we were able to make this happen because I was able to confirm what I already knew—that Jenni is a total sweetheart and clearly has a knack for this being-an-awesome-mamma role :)

For this shoot, we ventured up to Taylor University (where Jenni and Grant met as students in college) and it was such a refreshing change of scenery for me—not to mention I love how personal it was for them. You guys, I hope this isn’t the last I see of your family in front of my camera!

What a precious family portrait! I so so SO love this shot of Jenni with both her boys! And the shot of her and Corbin on the right totally melts my heart. Corbin is at that magical age (7 months-ish) when babies are such great sports about getting their photos taken. He was a smiley little bug throughout much of the session! One of the BEST ways to get soon-to-be-3-year-olds to give you GENUINE smiles? TICKLE WARS!!! :) When Jenni busted out this hat for Corbin for some individual portraits of her littlest man, I about died of cuteness. Seriously, how ADORABLE is this kiddo?!

To the Smith family — thank you, thank you, thank you for the privilege of documenting your family! Your boys are so well-behaved and yet, so FUN and full of life. A sweet peek for this mama-to-be and all she has to look forward to in the years ahead! God bless!
