What do you want to know about me? Because I’m pretty much an open book. Speaking of books, my Bio section is where I reveal more about myself—from favorite reads, to my love of cooking, to why my mama calls me her “old soul”.
I've shared my method for compiling a grocery list with several friends now and have long meant to share it here, with all of you, as well. Here's what I can say about what, at first glance, appears to be a ridiculous, Type A approach: I have been grocery shopping using this method for three years now. Three years. Show me any Real Simple or Pinterest organizational system you've been using that long and I'll raise you a toast.
But maybe my favorite memory of this month is my favorite because it's the silliest. Your dad and I have been trying to find ways to make the dinner hour more fun for you. You haven't been loving your highchair lately, so we've been trying to distract you from this fact in any way we can. Enter music. We always have the radio on during dinner, but as of late, it's been Big Hair Band Sing-a-longs with you (your mom does a mean version of Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer") and your dad has decided that our family is in a band. Our name? Strainer Head. (Which is convenient since we have three strainers in the house so we all have one to wear as we sing and dance around the kitchen.)
A book that shares a powerful message about our out-of-control digital age, an album that is non-stop-listenable from start to finish (with a great cover no less!) and a Richard Curtis film about life, love and the wonderfulness of the everyday ... here's a peek at a few of the things I was loving this month.
